The National Minority Supplier Diversity Council reports that certified minority businesses generated $400 billion in economic output leading to 2.2 million jobs and $49 billion in annual revenue for local, state, and federal tax authorities. To encourage that growth, buyers must commit to diversifying their supplier’s pool.

Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) has collaborated with Intel, Microsoft and the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council to bring buyers and suppliers together for an event titled Expanding Supplier Opportunities for Minority-Owned Businesses that focuses on:

• Buyers who want to understand how to build and manage programs that diversify their spending
• Minority businesses who and are looking to break into corporations to become preferred suppliers
